Rashi Agarwal – Co-Founder & CEO
Rashi is a financial market and public policy expert with several years of industry experience in handling large data-sets using statistical tools like STATA, SPSS, EViews, MATLAB, etc. Rashi earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics (Hons.) from University of Delhi. She also holds a Postgraduate degree in Finance and Economics from University of Southampton, United Kingdom. She also holds a diploma in Bloomberg Market concepts from United Kingdom.
After moving back to India, she passionately undertook her research skills in Economics, Finance and Public policy to the next level by working in some of the prestigious research think tanks in Delhi. She is credited with developing innovative econometric and financial models. To go further into the market, she decided to obtain some experience in the Indian government and so she served in the Department of Economic Affairs (Financial Markets Division) at the Ministry of Finance for more than a year. Her key departmental duties involved researching and evaluating regulatory policy reforms from RBI and SEBI, FEMA rules that incorporate market stakeholders, and so on.
Some of her major publications include Journal articles titled “Role of the FIIs in the development of the Indian stock market: An Econometric analysis”, “Impact of Government restrictions on outsourcing, hidden costs of Outsourcing and Outsourcing’s effect on Unemployment”, “Oil prices and Inflation; The case of India”, “Impact of political environment on stock market: An analysis using dummy variables and GARCH models”, etc.
